Walk Along The Ohio
Dennis Collins Foster
A stirring collection of songs from all genres, celebrating the 2016 Bicentennial Year of the State of Indiana. What could be better than walking along the beautiful Ohio River and opening a time capsule of music to unfold the history of this great State? The music tells of the courage of the first settlers, or Hoosiers, among them Squire Boone, Daniel's brother, and follows a journey through the Civil War, with the sinking of the Steamboat Alice Dean. The music takes you through the difficult times of the White Caps, a vigilante group who terrorized the State in the 19th Century, and on into the 20th Century as Indiana emerged as the heart and soul of Middle America. The album is completed with big band style tributes to the State's First State Capitol, Corydon, and Kentuckiana. This album has been placed in the Indiana State Bicentennial Archives by the Bicentennial Commission.
